DeKalb County Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) - Program Management Services

The DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) developed a $1.35 billion CIP plan to purchase, construct, enhance and/or replace the County’s physical water and sewer assets and infrastructure that serves a population of almost 700,000 residents.

Project Description

To achieve the County’s priority objectives within the implementation of CIP activities, CERM has been contracted as a sub-consultant to provide the following services and deliverables:

Project Management

  • Manage the “CIP – PM” work identified in the CIP List 

  • Perform Constructability Reviews 

  • Identify, analyze and mitigate construction conflicts and risks prior to actual construction

  • Oversee the Value Engineering (VE) process during the project design phase

Community Outreach & Public Relations 

  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with community, civic, neighborhood, business and professional groups to impart and receive information regarding program activities.

  • Work with CIP program outreach staff to develop and implement a strategic community outreach plan to deliver program and project information.
